Ricky Gervais to Host Golden Globe Awards

People.com is reporting that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has tapped actor Ricky Gervais to host the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards, which will air on NBC on January 17, 2010.
Gervais, who has been a popular presenter at several awards shows in the past few years, is a welcome addition to the host’s circuit, and we have no doubt that he’ll liven up the ceremony nicely.

WB Re-cuts Orphan Trailer

We’ve just added the new still set for Orphan, the upcoming adoption-gone-wrong thriller, which in and of itself is not earthshaking news, but we mention it for the fact that Warner Bros. agreed to re-cut
Isabelle Fuhrman in "Orphan"
the trailer recently after receiving numerous complaints from adoptive parents and foster care organizations.
Seems the dissenters had issue with the line “It must be hard to love an adopted child as much as your own”, which is spoken in the trailer (and the film, we assume) by nine year-old Esther, who has definite issues of her own.
